Youth Shedz Collaboration

DangerPoint are embarking on an exciting new project in collaboration with Youth Shedz Cymru- generously funded by The Neumark Foundation. Youth Shedz is an award winning initiative who have groups across North Wales that provide a safe place for young people to explore who they are, to develop pro-social relationships with suitable role models, and learn new skills. The young people involved with Youth Shedz are going to be building on their previous experience of creating interactive VR encounters through their County Lines 4 Good project and applying the learning from that to create something unique- using DangerPoint as inspiration and as a filming location! We will be trialling the brand new Meta Quest 3 VR headset for this project using the fantastic Near-Life platform and bringing together a group of talented script and song writers to work with this group of young people as they produce a film focused on different aspects of safety, social behaviour and recognising consequences. This project is now well underway and so far, the young people have really impressed us with their enthusiasm, ideas and practical skills in filming, script writing and acting.
