StayWise.Cymru launches!

StayWise, one of our Safety Centre Alliance Colleagues, launched StayWise Cymru on May 30th, 2023, and was showcased at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Llandovery, Carmarthenshire. Their website is packed full of fun, educational activities from the UK’s leading emergency services, making it easy for teachers, the public and other safety-focused organisations to find trusted activities which provide learning opportunities to help keep you, and the children and young people in your life, safe.

The site is easily accessible and allows users to find critical safety information and lifesaving messages in one clear place, rather than trying to find them in a multitude of places online. There are interactive games, age specific storybooks, videos and activity sheets all of which are easy to navigate. The main goal is to support teachers and community safety practitioners in delivering essential safety messages.

All these resources are free of charge, fun yet informative and work perfectly alongside the interactive learning model offered here at DangerPoint and along with us and other safety centres across the country, StayWise Cymru are members of the Safety Central Alliance. We will be working in partnership with them to ensure that the public, particularly children and young people, receive the best education when it comes to these essential life lessons and skills. As a like-minded organisation we look forward to developing our relationship with StayWise Cymru to increase our shared library of learning and develop new content as well as continuing to make existing resources accessible to our local communities.
