We have had lots of new exciting updates in the centre recently and one is a new 999 simulator which has been installed in the centre. The new interactive display is in the lounge and hosts 3 different scenarios – one each for the Police, Fire & Ambulance. Visitors can dial 999 and interact with the controller as if they were making a ‘real’ emergency call following a script. Obviously this is all pre-recorded and is not a live 999 call however it simulates the scenario and allows our visitors the opportunity to learn what information they might need in an emergency situation.
The new display has been in use for a few weeks new and is already receiving great reviews from our visitors – both from schools as well as our public visitors who join us during our half term openings.
We’d like to say a big thank you to North Wales Fire & Rescue Service, North Wales Police & Welsh Ambulance Trust for supporting the new display in both funding and support in filming – we have been able to work in partnership to provide an experience that is as realistic as possible.
