DangerPoint Shop Refurb

DangerPoint closed its doors for a week in July for a very exciting new development!

Our shop scenario has been completely refurbished by The Co-op making it bigger and more interactive for our visitor experience.

The shop’s purpose at the centre aims to teach young people about the consequences and risks of peer pressure, bullying, shop lifting and budgeting, along with the benefits of making healthy eating choices.

The complete makeover by the Co-op and its contractors – an investment of more than £15,000 and over 150 volunteer hours creating the realistic and functioning store has been a great improvement to the area and we look forward to hearing what our visitors have to say about it.

Mike Gallagher, Area Manager for Co-op said, “It’s a fantastic, interactive and innovative setting which enhances the curriculum, bringing learning to life outside the classroom to teach children and young people in our community in vital safety skills.”

We launched the new shop on August 1st to our visitors with special guest Gracie, one of our greatest supporters as ‘guest of honor’ along with colleagues from the Co-op. Why not pop in and check it out for yourself!
