DangerPoint + is our fifty plus programme for older people. It is a 2hour 30minute programme in which a Ranger will guide groups around the centre discussing areas of personal safety with groups, not only for themselves, but also for others such as grandchildren.
The DangerPoint + programme can accommodate up to 30 visitors at a time, divided into smaller groups to tour the centre. Visitors will take part in our interactive quiz, allowing us to gauge knowledge base pre-tour and evaluate what has been learnt during the visit.
The DangerPoint + programme has been split in to 6 zones which include different scenarios:
Zone 1: Home– including lounge, kitchen, bedroom, garage and garden
Zone 2: Substance misuse, bullying
Zone 3: Transport safety – including bus safety and train safety
Zone 4: Farm & Countryside -including flood awareness
Zone 5: Beach/Water & Road safety
Zone 6: Digital safety including internet, mobile and shop safety.
